In the summer of 2015 the New York Philharmonic will undertake its first performance residencies in Shanghai, as part of the Shanghai Orchestra Academy and Residency Partnership, and at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara.

Baltimore, Md. (June 17, 2015) -Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) Assistant Conductor Nicholas Hersh will lead the orchestra in their annual Independence Day celebrations at Oregon Ridge Park tonight and tomorrow, July 3 and 4 at 8 p.m.

Lincoln Center Theater presents Patti LuPone, Dale Soules, Michael Urie, Jordan Dean, Lance Coadie Williams, and Zoe Winters in Shows For Days, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane, directed by Jerry Zaks. Baltimore, Md. (March 23, 2015) - For the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and Music Director Marin Alsop lead the BSO premiere of Leonard Bernstein's comedic operetta Candide tonight, June 11 at the Music Center at Strathmore, and June 12 through June 14 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The BSO announced today that the semi-staged production of Candide will be directed by Garnett Bruce and features an all-star cast including Peter Sagal, the host of NPR's weekly current events quiz show "Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me," and Judy Kaye, Tony Award-winning star of The Phantom of the Opera. Rounding out the cast are Keith Jameson, Lauren Snouffer, Joshua Hopkins, Mark Diamond, Marie Lenormand, Stephanie Sadownik, Curtis Bannister, Patrick Cook, Andrew McLaughlin, Melissa Wimbish and Lewis Shaw.

Park Avenue Armory today announced the appointment of Pierre Audi as Artistic Director. A critically acclaimed director and artistic director, Audi will continue to lead the Dutch National Opera, a role he has held since 1988 while also serving as Artistic Director of the Holland Festival in Amsterdam from 2004 until 2014. He previously was the founding Artistic Director of the pioneering Almeida Theatre in London. Audi will join Park Avenue Armory in October 2015 to begin planning its 2017 season.

BNY Mellon Grand Classics: The Sound of a Modern Symphony highlights the power and range of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra this weekend, May 15-17 under the baton of British conductor Michael Francis.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will present performances of Mozart's The Magic Flute at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands today, May 15, at 8 p.m. and at Miller Outdoor Theatre today, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, at 8 p.m. The Magic Flute matches a comic yet wise fairy tale with some of the most stunningly beautiful music ever written. HGO's performances on the outdoor stages offer free admission and access for new audiences to experience the acclaimed production, which the company presented to full houses earlier this season.

The Chorale was previously honored with the organization's ASCAP/Chorus America Award for Adventurous Programming three times in 1995, 2003 and 2010, the Education and Community Engagement Award twice in 2000 and 2008, and also earned Chorus America's prestigious Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence in 2012.
