Performances began October 12 at 8 pm at the Booth Theatre for Jon Robin Baitz's critically acclaimed new play OTHER DESERT CITIES directed by Joe Mantello. This Lincoln Center Theater production features Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Thomas Sadoski. The production officially opened last night, November 3 and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the after party.

In Other Desert Cities, Brooke Wyeth (to be played by Rachel Griffiths who is making her Broadway debut), a once promising novelist, returns home after a six year absence to celebrate Christmas in Palm Springs with her parents, former members of the Reagan inner-circle (Stockard Channing and Stacy Keach), her brother (Thomas Sadoski) and her aunt (to be played by Judith Light). When Brooke announces that she is about to publish a memoir focusing on an explosive chapter in the family's history, the holiday reunion is thrown into turmoil and the Wyeths are both bound together and torn apart as they struggle to come to terms with their past. Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) announces a special FREE reading of Safe Home, a play by New York City (NYC) playwright/actor and Buffalo native Sean Cullen. The reading will be presented at 7:30 PM on Friday, November 4 th , 2011 at the Road Less Traveled Theater in Downtown Buffalo.

THE PEARL THEATRE COMPANY (J.R. Sullivan, Artistic Director) has announced the company for Shakespeare's drama, RICHARD II. The production, beginning November 8 at New York City Center Stage II, will be directed by J.R. Sullivan and features Sean McNall as Richard II. The twelve member cast features both members of The Resident Acting Company and guest artists who will portray over 30 characters.

Leviathan Lab, an Asian American professional creative studio invested in advancing the careers of Asian American artists, will present its inaugural production, Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT at Arclight Theatre at 152 West 71st Street, Level 1 between Broadway and Columbus Avenues in Manhattan, November 3 - 19 (Thursdays - Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m.; Wednesday, November 16 at 8 p.m.).

Lincoln Center Theater's production of BLOOD AND GIFTS, a new play by J.T. Rogers, directed by Bartlett Sher, opens on Monday, November 21, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The cast features Michael Aronov, Jeremy Davidson, Robert Hogan, Jefferson Mays, Andrés Munar, Rudy Mungaray, J Paul Nicholas, Paul Niebanck, John Procaccino, Liv Rooth, Gabriel Ruiz, Pej Vahdat, Andrew Weems and Bernard White.

The 2011 - 2012 FAIRWINDS Broadway Across America - Orlando subscription series is going to be a family affair in Orlando!

Currently in previews, the LCT3 world premiere production of ALL-AMERICAN, a new play by Julia Brownell, directed by Evan Cabnet, opens Monday, November 7 at 6:45 pm at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project (229 West 42 Street).

Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo (Lombardi) will next present MAGIC/BIRD on Broadway, reuniting with Tony-nominated director Thomas Kail (Lombardi, In The Heights) and Lombardi playwright and Oscar winner and Emmy Nominee Eric Simonson. The new play chronicles the intertwined life stories of two of the most influential figures in sports and pop culture of the past 25 years, basketball Hall of Famers Larry Bird and Earvin ‘Magic' Johnson. According to an audition notice out today, the production will go into rehearsal on January 23, 2012 and begin previews on February 27. An opening date and theater have yet to be announced.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Dividing the Estate, the final play by Pulitzer Prize winner Horton Foote. Directed by Michael Wilson, Dividing the Estate will run Jan. 14 - Feb. 12, 2012 in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn Lipuma announce the second extension of The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, directed by Michael Halberstam. The production, which opened the Theatre's 20th Season, now runs through December 4, 2011 at Writers' Theatre, 325 Tudor Court in Glencoe.

Canal Park Playhouse will present the first NYC revival of ON THE LINE, written by Canal Park Playhouse resident playwright Joe Roland and directed by Michael Tisdale. ON THE LINE begins performances on Thursday, October 27 for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 19.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage Shakespeare's beguiling comic masterpiece, 'Twelfth Night, or What You Will,' directed by Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos, playing through November 5. Laughter and melancholy, gorgeous poetry and song, and endlessly delightful romantic entanglements abound in this fresh and inventive production of a timeless classic. It is the fifth of five productions in the historic theater's 80th year.
