John Pizzarelli's Memoir WORLD ON A STRING Released Today

Written by one of the best jazz guitarists in the business, World on a String: A Musical Memoir by John Pizzarelli and Joseph Cosgriff tells the story of a young man who went from growing up in a modest New Jersey home to selling out concert tours around the world. Pizzarelli's story is a tour through a musical who's who of the 20th century, with everyone from Benny Goodman to Frank Sinatra to Paul McCartney making an appearance.

In March 2012, German director-composer Heiner Goebbels was awarded the prestigious International Ibsen Award for his "genuinely groundbreaking" work. Previous winners include directors Peter Brook and Ariane Mnouchkine. This November, Lincoln Center's White Light Festival presents the celebrated director's staged concert in three tableaus, I went to the house but did not enter, set to texts by T.S. Eliot (The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock), Samuel Beckett (Worstward Ho), Maurice Blanchot (The Madness of the Day), and Franz Kafka ("Excursion into the Mountains"), that unfold as meditations on aging, mortality and the vicissitudes of modern life.

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble previously announced the complete cast and creative team for their World Premiere production of Radiance, written by Cusi Cram and directed by Suzanne Agins. The complete cast of the upcoming production of Radiance includes Kelly AuCoin (Julius Caesar, Julie & Julia) and Ana Reeder (Top Girls, Sight Unseen), as well as Labyrinth Company Members Kohl Sudduth (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Take Me Out) and Aaron Roman Weiner (Thinner Than Water, The Glass Menagerie).
