Direct from acclaimed, sold-out engagements at The National Theatre of Scotland and the Lincoln Center Festival, Tony and Olivier Award winner ('Cabaret') and two-time Emmy nominee ('The Good Wife') Alan Cumming will return to Broadway this spring in a one-man interpretation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The acclaimed Los Angeles Philharmonic and its dynamic music director, Gustavo Dudamel, return to New York for the first time since 2010 for two concerts at Avery Fisher Hall, as part of Lincoln Center's Great Performers series, March 27 and 28, 2013. Maestro Dudamel and the Orchestra arrive at Lincoln Center with two adventurous programs of 20th and 21st century music which showcases the ensemble's place as one of the world's most forward-thinking orchestras, including the New York premiere of a co-commissioned work by the eminent American composer John Adams.

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, presents the world premiere stage adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Man in a Case, featuring Mikhail Baryshnikov, on stage February 21 through March 24.

Direct from acclaimed, sold-out engagements at the National Theatre of Scotland and the Lincoln Center Festival, Tony and Olivier Award winner ('Cabaret') and two-time Emmy nominee ('The Good Wife') Alan Cumming returns to Broadway this spring in a thrilling one-man interpretation of Shakespeare's darkest and most powerful tragedy, MACBETH. Produced by Ken Davenport, the National Theatre of Scotland's MACBETH will play a strictly limited 73-performance engagement at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Jonas Kaufmann Sings the Title Role in a New Production of PARSIFAL for the Metropolitan Opera

Jonas Kaufmann will sing the title role in a new staging of Wagner's final opera, Parsifal,conducted by Daniele Gatti and directed by Francois Girard in his Met debut. The new production of Wagner's transcendent masterpiece will open February 15 with an extraordinary cast of Wagnerian stars, including Katarina Dalayman as the mysterious Kundry; Peter Mattei in his role debut as Amfortas, the wounded King of the Knights of the Holy Grail; Rene Pape as the wise knight Gurnemanz; Evgeny Nikitin as the evil Klingsor; and Runi Brattaberg in his Met debut as Titurel, Amfortas's father. The production team for Girard's staging includes set designer Michael Levine, costume designer Thibault Vancraenenbroeck, lighting designer David Finn, video designer Peter Flaherty, choreographer Carolyn Choa, and dramaturg Serge Lamothe. The Saturday, March 2 matinee performance of Parsifal will be transmitted worldwide as part of the Met's Live in HD series, which is now seen in more than 1,900 movie theaters in 64 countries around the world.

Mary T. & Lizzy K. stars D.C.-area actress Kathryn Kelley (Round House Theatre's Next Fall) as Mary Todd Lincoln and Sameerah Luqmaan-Harris (Urban Stage's ReEntry) as Elizabeth Keckly. They are joined by noted local actors Thomas Adrian Simpson (last seen at Arena Stage as Col. Pickering in My Fair Lady) as Abraham Lincoln and Joy Jones (Studio Theatre's Invisible Man) as Ivy.

The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) presents Theatre-Atelier Piotr Fomenko performing the U.S. Premiere of Family Happiness on January 18-20 and 22-23 at Baryshnikov Arts Center's Jerome Robbins Theater. This production, based on the novella by Leo Tolstoy, is adapted for the stage by one of Russia's most renowned master theater directors, the late Piotr Fomenko.
