Yesterday was the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Check out Part One of our backstage photo coverage below.

Happy Fourth of July! Just because the rest of the country will be spending Independence Day sipping drinks at the pool, pigging out at family barbeques, and enjoying the day off at home, doesn't mean Broadway will shut down for the holiday - the shows must go on!

The New York City Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association offered a Thursday, May 2, 2013 performance of Broadway's VANYA and SONIA and MASHA and SPIKE, the new comedy by Christopher Durang starring Tony and Emmy Award Winner David Hyde Pierce and Tony and Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will support the free programs and services offered by the New York City Chapter, as well as research. Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director) has announced that it will present Too Much Too Soon, an evening of short plays by Nikole Beckwith, Dean Imperial, Nick Jones, Melissa Ross, Emily Schwend, and Ken Urban, beginning Thursday, September 29 and running through Sunday, October 9 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue, between 9 and 10 Streets.
