For those who question the future of classical music and young musicians rest assured, the Adelphi Orchestra will surprise and delight in a sumptuous concert of French masterworks on June 11th at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufmann Music Center in New York City. "Une Fete en France " will honor winners and finalists of the Adelphi Orchestra's Young Artist Program as well as generate funds to support future outstanding musicians.

Emmy winning actress-turned-director Cady McClain's Seeing is Believing: Women Direct will make its World Premiere and is an Official Selection of the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival. The first episode in the series will screen as part of the program 'Short Femme Factor' on April 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Island Cinema 6 in Newport Beach. Seeing is Believing: Women Direct is a documentary series, directed, executive produced, written and edited by Cady McClain, about women directors who are on the front lines of the field: from major award winners and those in the vanguard of television and feature films, to graduated students and frustrated auteurs.

On June 9, National Sawdust, 80 N. Sixth Street, Brooklyn, will present 'Kaze (The Wind) / Harmonic Constellations,' an evening of two premieres starring Mari Kimura, the renowned violinist/composer who is best known for her use of subharmonics and interactive motion sensor technologies. The evening will offer debut performances of 'Kaze (The Wind),' an audio/visual chamber piece composed by Kimura, and 'Harmonic Constellations,' an entrancing work of microtonal harmonies composed for her by Michael Harrison. It will also unveil µgic, a new digital music controller, and launch two CDs.

Oakland, CA, August 13, 2015 – The Oakland Symphony opens its 22nd season with a new name and a West Coast premiere by Bay Area composer Mason Bates Friday, October 2, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland. The program, with Music Director and conductor Michael Morgan on the podium, includes the Bates's Devil's Radio, Prokofiev's Violin concerto with guest soloist and young Bay Area artist Kenneth Renshaw, selections from Brahms' Liebeslieder Waltzes with the Oakland Symphony Chorus conducted by Lynne Morrow, who celebrates her tenth year with the Chorus, and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances. The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's (CCM) Chamber Choir and Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra join forces to perform a unique staged production of Johann Sebastian Bach's visceral rendering of the St. John Passion as the next installment in CCM's 2013-14 Prestige Concert Series. The monumental work will be presented at 5 p.m. today, Nov. 3, at Christ Church Cathedral under the direction of Earl Rivers, staged by Omer Ben-Seadia, and in conjunction with the Constella Festival of Music and Fine Arts.
