The Shadowmen to Present An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein at Raven Theatre Feb. 5-28
by Robert Diamond
- Feb 7, 2009
Following their critically acclaimed production of Quills, The Shadowmen Chicago presents An Adult Evening with Shel Silverstein, February 5 - 28, 2009 at Raven Theatre. This is the company Chicago Critic called 'a welcome addition to the Chicago storefront theatre scene.'
Welcome to the darkly comic world of Shel Silverstein, a world where nothing is as it seems and where the most innocent conversation can turn menacing in an instant. While Silverstein is best known for writing and illustrating children's literature, his plays offer insight in to his sly and often twisted sense of humor. The evening features five outstanding actors in eight hilarious and thought-provoking short plays.
