Cameron Mackintosh Announces Official LES MIZ U.S. Tour Dates for 2010-2011

Confirming the news previously posted on BroadwayWorld, Cameron Mackintosh has formally announced that his hugely acclaimed new 25th anniversary production of the World's Longest-Running Musical, Les Misérables, will tour North America beginning in fall 2010, visiting many cities on a multi-year tour. The production will feature new staging and reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo and will make its United States premiere this November at the iconic Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ for a multi-week engagement.

Cameron Mackintosh's touring production of LES MISERABLES, which is currently making its way around the U.K., will begin a US tour early in 2011. The U.S. production, which is being developed by the Paper Mill Playhouse in conjunction with Cameron Mackintosh, will begin with an engagement at the Paper Mill, before embarking on a tour across the United States.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Cameron Mackintosh's current touring production of Les Miserables, which is making its way around the U.K., is set to return to a familiar home this fall in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary. The production will run at London's Barbican Theatre, it's English-language birthplace in 1985, for 22 performances, September 14 through October 2, 2010. A Queens Theatre staple for nearly 22 years in the West End, this new run will mark the first time in London that the same musical has run simultaneously.
