The original company of the Broadway musical CRY-BABY releases a cast recording in digital formats today, September 25. Physical copies will hit the shelves on October 9.

The original Broadway cast of CRY-BABY took the stage at 54 Below for a reunion concert last night. Cry-Baby is based on the movie of the same name by John Waters and features a score by David Javerbaum (Act of God) and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), and a book by Mark O'Donnell (Hairspray) and Thomas Meehan (Annie). Although it only ran for three months, Cry-Baby was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the long-awaited official cast album will be released shortly. 

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Nothing bad's ever gonna happen again! Because for one night only, most of the original stars of the Broadway musical Cry-Baby will reunite on the stage of 54 Below to revisit and perform the 2008 Tony-nominated score!

This September, 54 BELOW presents an exciting lineup of the brightest talent from Broadway and beyond. Located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street.

On September 17th, most of the original cast of the Broadway musical Cry-Baby will reunite in concert at 54 Below. The 9:30pm & 11:30pm concerts will also serve to celebrate the upcoming cast recording of the show, featuring most of the original cast.

Studio Theatre's 2nd Stage has been transformed into a cabaret theatre, complete with proscenium running lights and a runway that would make any Mama Rose proud.  With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the familiar story of Jonathan Demme's Oscar Winning 1991 film, "Silence of the Lambs," comes to life. 

54 Below will present composer/lyricist Jeff Bowen in an intimate night where anything can happen!

Billy Mitchell's VILLAIN: DEBLANKS took words from the audience and transformed them into laughs (on stage and off), bringing tears to the eyes of cast and crowd alike during the hilarious benefit performance at Bucks County Playhouse on June 19, starring the cast of BCP's smash hit COMPANY, including Justin Guarini (Wicked and American Idol Season 1), John Bolton (A Christmas Story: the Musical), Jennifer Cody(Seussical, Disney's The Princess and the Frog), and Laura Jordan (Cry-Baby, Silence! the Musical), as well as Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde, 'Submissions Only') and Company Director Hunter Foster (Urinetown, Bridges of Madison County). Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) announces Bucks County's own John Augustine to return (The Hummingbird's Tour, 2014, Director) to the Bucks County Playhouse stage as 'Larry' in Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY, running May 29-June 21. Augustine will play alongside Broadway's Candy Buckley (Scandalous, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret) as 'Joanne'.
