Los Angeles magazine recently shot a fall fashion layout entitled "Power Plays," based on a modern take on the 1940s classic His Girl Friday, which features a fast talking female reporter who gets things done. The stars of ABCs Don't Trust The B---- in Apt 23, James Van Der Beek and Krysten Ritter, starred in the photo shoot and online feature with FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising's Downtown Los Angeles campus as a backdrop.

Director of Clueless, Amy Heckerling, and star of Broadway's upcoming show The Performers Alicia Silverstone reunite in Vamps, a cheeky, fresh comedy about two eternally young party girls navigating the dating world in the Big City. Silverstone plays Goody, a NYC vampire, opposite Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens (also headed to Broadway in The Heiress) as Joey, the love interest of Goody's best friend Stacy (Krysten Ritter). Anchor Bay Films has released the trailer for Clueless director Amy Heckerling's new comedy VAMPS, starring Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Johnston, Richard Lewis, Wallace Shawn, Justin Kirk, Dan Stevens, Todd Barry, Marilu Henner, Zak Orth and Malcolm McDowell. Producers Robyn Goodman, Scott M. Delman and Amanda Lipitz just announced that Alicia Silverstone is joining Cheyenne Jackson, Ari Graynor, Daniel Breaker, Jenni Barber and Henry Winkler in THE PERFORMERS, completing the cast of David West Read's new Broadway comedy. THE PERFORMERS will begin preview performances October 23 prior to its official opening night November 14 at the Longacre Theatre (220 W. 48 St.) in New York City.

TVGuide reports that Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Frankie Muniz will guest star in the season premiere of ABC's new comedy DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23.

TEEN CHOICE 2012 will once again celebrate the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing live tonight, July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. MCC Theater is currently presenting a special reading of Neil LaBute's The Heart of The Matter for four performances only that began on June 13 and closes tomorrow, June 16. The reading stars Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie, MCC's The Submission), Tammy Blanchard (Gypsy, How to Succeed…), and Michael Chernus (In The Wake, The Aliens) alongside Emmanuelle Chriqui ("Entourage," "The Borgias"), Cheyenne Jackson ("30 Rock," Xanadu) and Krysten Ritter ("Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23," "Breaking Bad"). All performances are being held at the Lucille Lortel Theatre and are directed by Carolyn Cantor (Regrets at Manhattan Theatre Club, MCC's production of LaBute's In a Dark Dark House). Proceeds will support MCC Theater's Playwrights' Coalition program, free PlayLab reading series and literary development activities.
