Mummenschanz, the renowned theatrical troupe, returns to the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place) for 12 performances only. Part of a US national tour, the New York engagement begins tonight, November 20, and runs through November 30. The show will feature some of the most popular sketches created and performed by the internationally renowned troupe, as well as brilliant new creations (including one world premiere created especially for New York audiences). Last night, October 1, Isabel Rose celebrated the release of her CD 'Trouble In Paradise' at 54 Below. The album, distributed by RED (a division of Sony Entertainment), is produced by the legendary Bob Rock, and inspired by a time when America was aglow with Kennedy's Camelot by day, and lit by the lights of Rat Pack Vegas by night. Award-winning actor and musician Hershey Felder (George Gershwin Alone, Monsieur Chopin, Beethoven As I Knew Him) returns to Chicago with Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein. Combining first-person narrative with the music of composer Bernstein and the artists who inspired him, Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein is the story of the legendary American composer and longtime music director of the New York Philharmonic. Helmed by award-winning director Joel Zwick, Hershey Felder will return to Chicago's Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted, where from September 2004 through January 2006, he held residence with George Gershwin Alone and the World Premiere of Monsieur Chopin, culminating in 70 weeks of live performances. Maestro will begin previews on November 1st with press opening November 9th, and will play through December 30.

This year's award recipients are producer Bruce Lazarus; Ben Cameron and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation; and Lou Rodgers of Golden Fleece Limited.

The New York Times has revealed that the York Theater's production of ENTER LAUGHING, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Carl Rainer about a young actor managing his life and women, that ran off-Broadway last season will head to the Great White Way in the 2010 - 2011 season. No theater has been booked.

Actor and producer Paul Kreppel recently assumed the role of 'Steve' in the Off-Broadway hit My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish and I'm in Therapy.

As an actress, Isabel Rose starred both off-Broadway and regionally in Beau Jest and played the role of Tess Kittridge in the national tour of Six Degrees of Separation with Marlo Thomas. In addition, she co-wrote and starred in the successful 2003 film 'Anything But Love,' opposite Andrew McCarthy and Eartha Kitt. The film won Audience Awards and Best Film awards at numerous festivals; Rose even picked up the Best Up and Coming Actress award. She performs frequently all over New York City, selling out Joe's Pub, Opia, Makor and Helen's. Rose is working on her debut CD, 'Boy Wanted,' which is due out in stores this October. Now, this multi-talented performer can add author to her many credits and talents. Her first novel, The J.A.P. Chronicles, was published in May, 2005; the paperback is due out on May 9th. Not only did she write this novel, but has turned it into a musical, composed the music and adapted the lyrics from the book. The result is J.A.P. Chronicles, the Musical.
