ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY, the platinum-selling singer and songwriter, will celebrate the release of her new CD AT LAST with two weeks of concerts at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola (60th Street and Broadway) from February 17 to March 1. She will be joined by Ted Rosenthal on piano, Jay Leonhart on bass and Victor Lewis on drums. Shows are at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Please call (212) 258-9595 for tickets or visit jalc.org.
On Monday, February 16 at 6:00 PM, join Ann at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Center (1972 Broadway at 66th Street) for their Cool Mondays Jazz series. She will perform a few selections from the new recording and sign CDs.

Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops will kick off its 2009 season at Symphony Hall with a gala concert on May 6 and 7 featuring Tony Award winner Barbara Cook. Lockhart is celebrating his 15th season as conductor with the Pops.

Opera New Jersey has announced that Broadway star Lisa Vroman will be stepping into the lead role of Rosalinde in itsupcoming performances of Johann Strauss, Jr.'s delightful operetta Die Fledermaus.
Regretfully, Ruth Ann Swenson has withdrawn due to illness. 'The role of Rosalinde requires a singer with vivacious exuberance, commandingstage presence, and incredible panache along with vocal acrobatics,' said Scott Altman, General and Artistic Director, 'Lisa Vroman brings all those characteristicsand a completely fresh dimension to the role; Opera New Jersey is thrilled to bringan artist of her caliber to our audiences.'
Emmy Winning and Oscar Nominated Arranger Angela Morley Passes Away at 84

Music arranger Angela Morley, who won Emmys for arranging two of Julie Andrews television specials has died at 84 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She's said to have passed away from complications of a fall and a subsequent heart attack.
The three-time Emmy winner, also received Oscar nominations for adaptaing the songs in the musicals 'The Little Prince' and 'The Slipper and the Rose'
This prolific woman also wrote her own official bio for her web site, which we reprint below. A very full life! Our thoughts and prayers go out to her partner Christine Parker, along with her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren during this difficult time.

One would think that the man who conducts the Boston Pops, the Utah Symphony and is the Artistic Advisor of the Summer Institute and Music Festival of the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina to be pretty apathetic about Christmas music by the time fruitcake season rolls along, but that's not true with Keith Lockhart.
