Eight young actors and three professional actors will soon be heard on a radio play set in Swindon and Wiltshire. In a first for Prime Theatre, Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival and BBC Wiltshire, 'Singing Together' is the story of a choir of World War Two evacuees coming to Swindon and being billeted all across the county.

The family Christmas classic, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, runs November 20-December 13, 2015 in the Young Theatre on Cal State Fullerton's campus. The adaptation is inspired by the 1951 film version, adapted by Department of Theatre and Dance Chair Bruce Goodrich and directed by Jeremy Lewis.

The Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce the cast for its December production, "Dashing Through The Snow", written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten.  "Dashing Through The Snow" will be directed by Wendy Ferrell and will begin performances December 3.

William Peace Theatre's production of INTO THE WOODS is now on stage at the Leggett Theatre in the Main Building. BroadwayWorld is thrilled to bring you photos from the show which plays thru this Saturday, Feb. 23.

How do you stage the performance of an amateur tap class believably? Should the big contest production number be like the finale of A Chorus Line, the way I have seen it done on the Equity stage, or should it be shown less professional, somewhat flawed, in a more play it as it comes fashion? The thing to remember about the script of Stepping Out is that it's not a musical, but a play with music and it's about a community tap class for adults - which means that most are amateurs who will learn to tap but not so well that they will go on to have a dance career! Director Stan Mazin has wisely chosen the more realistic approach, keeping his actors focused on the play and on characterization in Group rep's current production of Stepping Out onstage through March 24. For all its worth, great tapping is always fun to watch - and it's not bad here when you stop and consider that most of the actors have never tapped before their prep for this show. Urgent to keep in mind: in Stepping Out, the play's the thing, about problematic people and how they support one another. It's an ode to friendship, to community living, warts and all, and to the joy a little once-a-week evening class can bring into people's lives. Group rep's production certainly gives us all of this, while displaying miles of heart.

Denver music fans are in for much more than a 'taste' of Iceland at The Gothic Theatre this weekend, they can expect an earful. Reykjavik Calling, part of the A Taste of Iceland events in Denver this week, is a free Icelandic music showcase presented by KGNU 88.5 FM & 1390 AM tonight, September 29, 2012. Doors open at 8 p.m.
