WONDERLAND: A New Alice. A New Musical Adventure will open on Broadway Sunday, April 17, 2011 and performances will begin Monday, March 21, at a Nederlander theatre to be announced. It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I actually saw the stage version of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Of course, I'd been exposed to the movie version long before that, but I never really enjoyed watching it until they started letterboxing the film for broadcast presentations, because the 'pan and scan' versions always ruined the beautiful vistas captured by the cinematographer. But, you don't have to worry about that at the Muny, which offers up its own 'widescreen' take on this classic musical (it is a big stage, after all), producing a solid and enjoyable outing fit for the entire family.

'Victor/Victoria' the 1982 musical comedy film was a remake of 'Victor und Viktoria' penned by German screenplay writer Hans Hoemburg and directed by Reinhold Schunzel in 1933. The film starred Julie Andrews as Victor/Victoria, James Garner, Robert Preston, Lesley Ann Warren, Alex Karras and John Rhys-Davies.

According to Celebritology.com Co-Creator of GLEE Ryan Murphy confirmed that Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel will return to the hit show this fall reprising their respective roles. Murphy says the appearances will be guest appearances not regular roles.
