Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, Candy Spelling and The Weinstein Company will present the first-ever Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES this spring at the Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway). Previews will begin on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 with an opening night slated for Sunday, April 25th, 2010. The musical is written by legends Neil Simon (book), Burt Bacharach (music), and Hal David (lyrics). Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes will make his Broadway debut starring in the role of Chuck Baxter opposite Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, returning to Broadway as Fran Kubelik. Sam Mendes will return to the theatre to direct a production of KING LEAR at the Royal National Theatre in 2012. The production will star Simon Russell Beale as King Lear.

Popeater.com reports that Spike Lee has written a new movie about Michael Jackson. The movie is called 'Brooklyn Loves You, Michael Jackson,' and tells the story of a group of people organizing a tribute concert in honor of Michael Jackson and the conflict that arises with the 'gentrified people that live in the neighborhood.'

Kevin Bacon will join Steve Carell in an untitled Dan Fogelman-Steve Carell project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will direct the movie for Warner Bros. Filming will begin in late April.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, stage and screen star Julianne Moore will return to As the World Turns, the soap on which she got her start. Moore's episode will air on the CBS daytime drama on April 5. Moore began her career on the show as half-sisters Frannie and Sabrina Hughes, and will reprise the role of Frannie in her guest appearance.
