Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre, recognizes its award winners for the 2014-15 season in 24 categories today, May 21st at 4PM at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant. 

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, concludes its 45th Anniversary Season with the New York premiere of the new musical, Cagney, with book by Peter Colley and music & lyrics by Robert Creighton and Christopher McGovern.

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented their annual Spring Gala last night, at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's gala was hosted by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski ('The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,' Nine) and featured special guest and Tony Award nominee for Airline Highway K. Todd Freeman, and performances by many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including: Beautiful, Finding Neverland, Gigi, It Shoulda Been You, On The Town, Something Rotten!, and The Visit. NBC has announced that the cast of Broadway's ON THE TOWN will perform live on the plaza on Monday May 18th.

DMI Soundtracks has announced the immediate availability on iTunes of the New Broadway Cast Recording for Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy.  The recording was produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.  The CD is slated for release in June.

Nominated for four 2015 Tony Awards, On the Town is still going strong at the Lyric Theatre, but performances May 7-12 were canceled so that the theatre could host NYC upfronts for Univision Communications Inc. Performances will resume this afternoon at 2pm, May 13. Welcome back to the ship!

Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy, has been going strong at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street), and the cast has something new to celebrate- ensemble member Ashley Yeater just got a surprise prospal onstage! We are yet another day closer to the biggest night on every theatre-lover's calendar- the 69th Annual Tony Awards, which will be co-hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming on Sunday, June 7 (8PM on CBS).
