SILENCE! The Musical will conclude its current run tonight at the Elektra Theatre, 669 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St.) Following the announcement that SILENCE! would be ending its long run today, December 30th, ticket sales unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records for the show so far. As a result, the producers determined that performances of the smash hit show will resume after a brief hiatus on January 19th.

SILENCE! The Musical will play a special added matinee performance today, December 26th at 2 PM at the Elektra Theatre. Following the announcement that SILENCE! would be ending its long run on December 30th, ticket sales unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records for the show so far. As a result, the producers have determined that performances of the smash hit show will resume after a brief hiatus on January 18th. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! opened at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews and spawned a highly successful L.A. production starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.

Voting is now underway for the Los Angeles Awards and continues until December 31, 2012. Winners will be announced in early January.

The choices I have made are based solely on the plays and performances that I actually saw. I cannot see all the great talent that is out there in LA; it is physically impossible, as there exist far too many theatre/cabaret performances for one person to cover. So if a choice of yours is not on my list, chances are, I did not see that play or performance...or, it just did not make the final cut. I also do not separate Equity from Equity waiver; I consider all the productions/performances I select to be of top-of-the-line quality/professionalism.

Before GLEE creator Ryan Murphy Tweeted a picture of Blaine (Darren Criss) shirtless and posing with a candy cane for the supposed 'Men of McKinley' calendar last week, he revealed Mr. July--Blake Jenner, also shirtless, in an Uncle Sam hat and patriotic boxers. SPRING AWAKENING and GLEE alum Jonathan Groff has officially signed on to join Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell in Disney's upcoming animated musical feature FROZEN. The Tony-nominated actor will help bring the character 'Kristoff' to life. The icey, epic journey is set for a Nov. 27, 2013 theatrical release.
