New York Stage and Film has announced that its Annual Winter Gala, to be held this year on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at The Plaza Hotel (770 Fifth Avenue, New York City), will honor Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and veteran theatrical press agent Rick Miramontez.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday September 24 for the Boise Premiere of Michael Hoffman's new film THE BEST OF ME to benefit the Agency for New Americans and Boise Contemporary Theater. Deadline reported last night that TNT has cancelled its freshman drama KING & MAXWELL, starring Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rebecca Romijn (X-Men). The duo played private investigators Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, characters originally seen in the bestselling series of books by author David Baldacci, and developed for series by NCIS: Los Angeles creator, Shane Brennan.

Baldacci is a consultant on the series, which is slated to premiere in summer 2013.

Amazon and Turner Broadcasting System have officially signed an exclusive deal to bring two of TNT's most acclaimed original series, FALLING SKIES and THE CLOSER, to the Prime Instant Video collection on Amazon.com. The two companies made the announcement this morning.
