In less than three weeks, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller will fill Park Avenue Armory's vast drill hall with their most ambitious sound installation to date. An otherworldly soundscape created using nearly 100 speakers, THE MURDER OF CROWS will immerse visitors in a vivid narrative realized through the artists' evocative and poetic use of sound-from crashing waves to a marching band to the hubbub of a factory floor. Woven together, these sounds create a haunting melodrama, exploring concepts of love, loss, and vulnerability.

INTERsection 2012, the 6th annual showcase of ground breaking, adventurous musical artists, returns August 31 - September 2 expanding to a three-day integrated music and arts festival that includes a Gala Opening on Friday, August 31; a free twelve-hour New Music Marathon at Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday, September 1, headlined by world renowned new music leaders Bang on a Can All-Stars from New York City; and a killer double-bill multi-media concert, Ambient2 - The Music of Brian Eno at the Panasonic Theatre on Sunday, September 2 featuring Bang on a Can All-Stars performing their groundbreaking arrangement of Brian Eno's classic ambient record Music For Airports, with film by Frank Scheffer and Contact performing their arrangement of Eno's Discreet Music with film by New York artist Suzanne Bocanegra.

Jonah Bokaer, who has been making artistic waves on the international dance circuit since he began choreographing almost ten years ago, will be seen both close-up and afar in these coming months: outdoors at the Avignon Festival in France (tonight, July 20-July 22, 24-26) and indoors at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA (August 1-5) when he and Bolshoi Ballet star David Hallberg perform together in the world premiere of Bokaer's "CURTAIN."

Park Avenue Armory presents Trisha Brown Dance Company's reconstruction of ASTRAL CONVERTED, a groundbreaking work by choreographer Trisha Brown in collaboration with Robert Rauschenberg (visual and costume design) and John Cage (original music) tonight, July 10th through July 14th, 2012. The piece is presented in its entirety for the first time in 18 years in Park Avenue Armory's soaring 55,000-square-foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall. The culminating work in Brown's Valiant Series, ASTRAL CONVERTED premiered at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. in 1991.
