Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award® for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning Next to Normal, will return to San Diego, where she spent several years performing in local productions, to reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. It will play in San Diego January 18-23, 2011 at the Balboa Theatre, as part of the current season of Broadway/San Diego ~ A Nederlander Presentation.

According to the NY Times, SPIDER-MAN producers have been quick to defend their recent decision to again delay the show's official opening, postponing it until March 15. Producer Michael Cohl told NYT, 'The best idea to market the show would be to open.'

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage this fall in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, based on the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker, opened January 5 at the Little Shubert Theatre (442 West 42nd Street). Paul Alexander directs the production, which began previews December 14. Based on the world-famous novel by Bram Stoker, DRACULA is the classic Gothic drama about the power of seduction and the nature of true love.

Brendan Fraser and Denis O'Hare star in ELLING on Broadway with Jennifer Coolidge in ELLING, new comedy from London, directed by Tony Award-winner Doug Hughes. ELLING began performances Tuesday, November 2, opened Sunday, November 21 on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre 243 West 47th Street and will play a strictly limited engagement through March 20, 2011. ELLING is based on the popular original novels by Ingvar Ambjørnsen and adapted for the Oscar nominated film and the stage by Axel Hellstenius and Petter Næss, in a new English adaptation by critically hailed writer Simon Bent. ELLING played the West End and was nominated for the Lawrence Olivier Award for Comedy of the Year.
