Paramount Theatre's Sold-Out BIG REVEAL Event to be Held 3/18

Paramount officials confirmed today that they have hit the 2,000 mark for reservations, and thus have officially sold out the theater's Big Reveal Party, Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. That's when - and only when - the titles of the four blockbuster musicals that will make up the Paramount's inaugural 2011-2012 Broadway Subscription Series, launching this fall, will be made public for the first time.

Drury Lane Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning international hit musical AIDA, Directed and Choreographed by Jeff Award winner Jim Corti (Sweet Charity, Meet Me in St. Louis, Cabaret, and Sugar.) Featuring a dynamic cast led by Stephanie Umoh as 'Aida' ('Sarah' in the 2009 Broadway production of Ragtime) and Jared Zirilli as 'Radames' (first National Tour of Wicked), AIDA previews March 17, opens March 24 and runs through May 29 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane.

Before two movies and three Broadway productions, summer lovin' happened on Lake Michigan and the Pink Ladies were a group of working class outsiders living on Chicago's Northwest Side. Including never-before-heard music, lyrics and scenes, author Jim Jacobs teams up with Artistic Director PJ Paparelli and Choreographer Jim Corti to bring to life for the first time since 1971 the original R-Rated version of the world's most famous movie musical.
