KINKY BOOTS Begins Previews on Broadway Today

The new musical Kinky Boots, from four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book), Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Director & Choreographer), will begin preview performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) today, March 3, 2013. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 4, 2013.

Kinky Boots, the hotly anticipated new musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), will begin previews Sunday, March 3 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). Kinky Boots, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, opens Thursday, April 4, 2013. The cast and creative team met the press yesterday at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there for the festivities. Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper Join TimesTalks Series

Kinky Boots creators Harvey Fierstein (book) and Cyndi Lauper (music & lyrics) will sit down with New York Times theater reporter Patrick Healy as part of a New York Times TimesTalks on Monday, March 18th at 6:30 PM E.T. at TheTimesCenter (242 West 41st Street). The pair will discuss their collaborative experience on the hotly anticipated new musical; the evening will also include a performance by Kinky Boots stars Stark Sands and Billy Porter.
