Just before its first preview tomorrow night, November 10, THE COLOR PURPLE has announced its rush ticket policy.

The Color Purple begins preview performances this coming Tuesday, November 10 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th street). Grammy, Academy Award, and Golden Globe award winner JENNIFER HUDSON will make her Broadway debut opposite CYNTHIA ERIVO, the breakout star of John Doyle's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory production, and Orange is the New Black's DANIELLE BROOKS, in this fall's highly anticipated production. All three women will be making their Broadway debuts.

Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director) has announced that their annual Gala will take place Monday, November 16, 2015 at 583 Park Avenue. The event will celebrate the company and honor Tony and Grammy-winning composer and lyricists Marc Shaiman andScott Wittman. The evening will feature musical numbers from Hairspray, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,Catch Me If You Can, and the TV show 'Smash' with presenters and performers including Obie winnerBridget Everett (Rock Bottom, Jukebox Jackie), Ana Gasteyer (Wicked, 'Saturday Night Live'), Annie Golden (Violet, 'Orange is the New Black'), emcee Jackie Hoffman (Hairspray, On the Town), Tony winnerNathan Lane (The Producers, Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams at Primary Stages), Caissie Levy (Les Miserables, Ghost, Murder Ballad), Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, Grease!
