TimeLine Theatre Company has announced its four-play 2012-13 season. TimeLine is dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, and its upcoming season includes one world premiere and three Chicago premieres.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actor John Goodman (Flight) will receive an Outstanding Achievement in Cinema Award and comic book legend, former President and Chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee (The Avengers) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place from October 27th to November 3th.

Rehearsals have begun for "Seminar," the sexy, smart new comedy starring Jeff Goldblum, an Academy Award and Emmy Award-nominee. "Seminar," by Pulitzer Prize finalist and "Smash" creator Theresa Rebeck and directed by Obie Award-winner Sam Gold, begins previews October 10 and opens October 17, 2012, at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Opening the 36th season at Theatre Lawrence is 9 to 5: The Musical, a comedy based on the 1980 hit movie with Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. Dolly Parton wrote the music and lyrics for the stage version, which includes 'Around Here,' 'Backwoods Barbie,' 'Get Out and Stay Out,' and the signature song, '9 to 5.' Based on the book by Patricia Resnick, this is a hilarious comedy about friendship and workplace vengeance.

The award-winning North Shore Theatre (NSMT) is pleased to welcome Broadway star Dee Hoty to the cast of 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL. Due to a severe back injury (annular tear of the L5 disc), the previously announced Lucie Arnaz will be unable to play the role of Violet in 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL scheduled to open Tuesday, September 25, and play through Sunday, October 7. Press night is scheduled for September 26 at 7:30pm.
