Laurie Slade's acclaimed new version of August Strindberg's The Father is to be given its London premiere at Trafalgar Studios this March. Jagged Fence Productions in association with Making Productions will present the play, for which casting is also announced today. Directed by Abbey Wright, former Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse, Slade's contemporary adaptation of Strindberg's masterpiece will star Alex Ferns as the Captain. Tickets are on sale now.

The musical was originally planned to preview from Wednesday 12 June, and open on 19 June, but will now open at the Arts Theatre tonight, 26 July, previewing from 17 July. The limited season is still due to end on Saturday 31 August.

Harry Melling, best known for playing Dudley Dursley in five of the Harry Potter films, is to play Christopher Isherwood in I am a Camera, which will run in a three-week season at The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, in London from Wednesday September 5 - Saturday September 22. Paulden Hall Productions in association with folie a deux present I Am A Camera by John Van Druten, directed by Anthony Lau and featuring set designer James Turner, costume designer Sarah Booth, composer and musical director Angus McRae, with producers Paulden Hall Productions and Folie a deux. The Finborough Theatre presents the first UK production in nearly 40 years of Trevor Griffiths' All Good Men, last seen at the Young Vic in a production by the National Theatre in 1975, and opening at the Finborough Theatre for a limited run of eight Sunday and Monday evening performances tonight, 29 April 2012.
