The Jewish Plays Project, LABA and Highbrow are co-producers of SIX by Zohar Tirosh-Polk, a fully staged work featured in OPEN: The New Jewish Theater Residency at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street). SIX will perform on June 23rd at 8:00 pm, June 24th at 3 pm and June 25th at 7 pm. Tickets are free by reservation at www.jewishplaysproject.org/tickets.

Syfy's hit drama series Being Human, starring Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington, begins production on its third season today in Montreal. Anna Fricke (Men in Trees, Everwood) is Executive Producer/Showrunner with Muse Entertainment producing thirteen 1-hour episodes for Syfy.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is developing a musical about the Stephen Ward, the man who introduced call girl Christine Keeler to war secretary John Profumo. The resulting Profumo Affair scandal began the end of Harold MacMillan's government in 1960s Britain. According to a post by Michael Riedel on nypost.com, SUNSET BOULEVARD scriptwriter Christopher Hampton may be asked to write the script for Lloyd Webber's new project.
David Morrissey Joins Cast of AMC's THE WALKING DEAD

AMC announced today that David Morrissey has been cast in the role of The Governor in the networks' critically acclaimed hit series, THE WALKING DEAD. The Governor, a character from Robert Kirkman's graphic novel, is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

Director Joe Dowling today announced the three plays that will comprise the Guthrie's 2012 celebration of prolific British playwright, screenwriter and director Christopher Hampton. A Guthrie commission of Appomattox, a new play based upon Hampton's original 2007 opera collaboration with composer Philip Glass, will be joined by Tales from Hollywood and Total Eclipse.
