MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET - the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and West End smash hit - embarks on its first ever UK Tour, opening at Leicester Curve tonight 14th September 2016.

Jonathan Maitland's debut play, DEAD SHEEP, directed by Ian Talbot OBE, will tour the UK from 6 September - 28 November 2016. Steve Nallon will return to the production to star as 'Margaret Thatcher', having portrayed her for many years on the political puppetry satire Spitting Image. Paul Bradley, best known for playing 'Professor Elliot Hope' in Holby City, will play 'Geoffrey Howe', Carol Royle will play 'Elspeth Howe', Graham Seed will play 'Ian Gow / Nigel Lawson', Tony Bell will play 'Bernard Ingham / Alan Clark / Dennis Thatcher' and John Wark will play 'Stephen Wall / Brian Walden'.

A concert premiere performance of the new, original British musical EUGENIUS! will take place tonight 29 June 2016 at the London Palladium.

Following his 11th consecutive Sunday Times No.1 in the UK Book Charts and the huge sell-out success of The Perfect Murder and Dead Simple on stage, the thrilling work of multi-million selling author Peter James returns to theatres in January 2017 with the world premiere production of Not Dead Enough. 

A concert premiere performance of the new, original British musical EUGENIUS! will take place on 29 June 2016 at the London Palladium. This exciting and innovative musical is produced by (and stars) actor Warwick Davis. Joining the Harry Potter and Star Wars favourite will be a host of musical theatre stars, including double Olivier Award-winner David Bedella (In The Heights, Jerry Springer, The Opera, The Rocky Horror Show), Amy Lennox (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), Samuel Holmes (Mrs Henderson Presents, Spamalot) and Summer Strallen (Sound of Music, Love Never Dies). Comedian Marcus Brigstocke will join the cast as the Narrator and Brian Blessed will provide a guest voiceover.

Back in February 2014, I watched the first touring production of Peter James' novel The Perfect Murder starring Les Dennis and Claire Goose as unhappily married couple Victor and Joan Smiley. Following this, Dead Simple - another of James' books - was adapted for the stage; here testament to his appeal and ability to make the text jump off the stage and stand up dramatically. The Perfect Murder is now playing across the UK again but this time with an ingenious casting move. Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace or Kat and Alfie from BBC's Eastenders are playing the two leads.

Following a sell-out tour of the stage adaptation of Dead Simple, the Belgrade Theatre is thrilled to welcome the hit UK touring production of The Perfect Murder starring Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace from Tues 29 Mar - Sat 2 April.

Inspired by the true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll' brought together icons Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley, Million Dollar Quartet includes more than 20 legendary rock 'n' roll hits, including Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, I Walk The Line and Great Balls of Fire. The production opens 24-29 October 2016.

Following the conclusion last week of the sell-out run of No.1 best-selling crime author Peter James' Dead Simple, he and producer Joshua Andrews are pleased to announce that Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace will appear on stage together for the very first time in the 2016 production of The Perfect Murder. Opening at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, on Tuesday 2 February 2016, The Perfect Murder will then embark on a major UK tour.

Peter James is synonymous when referring to crime fiction. Following the acclaim received by the stage adaptation of A Perfect Murder last year, Dead Simple is the next novel to receive the same treatment (adapted by Shaun McKenna). The book was an overnight sensation and is now a number one best-seller so it was clearly an obvious choice for the producers. Based on James' research, it seems that the vast majority of people fear fear itself. Breaking this down further, the fear of being alone and in this story's case, being buried alive. This is a seemingly universal fear that James experienced head on when writing this book!

DEAD Simple, the second stage adaptation of a Peter James novel, comes to The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, next month (July).
