Hennepin Theatre Trust will present the completely original new musical SOMETHING ROTTEN! as part of the 2017-2018 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin Season April 3-8, 2018 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis). SOMETHING ROTTEN! is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick, and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell.

Producer Kevin McCollum just announced casting for the National Tour of Something Rotten!, the ten-time Tony-Award nominated smash hit musical comedy. Three of the current Broadway principals will be reprising their roles on tour: Rob McClure as Nick Bottom, Adam Pascal as Shakespeare and Josh Grisetti as Nigel Bottom.

Following the matinee performance, the company celebrated the milestone with tie-dye cupcakes to match the show's '60s style. The year is 1977 and Disco is the name of the game. Brooklyn is overrun with small gangs and poverty, but club 2001 Odyssey is the oasis that all the well-dressed dancing youths flock to. Inside the doors of the club, the rules change, and dreams are made and broken on the glowing dance floor. Arvada Center has taken on this regional-premier musical based on the cult classic film, and with its many challenges, Saturday Night Fever is a high-energy show that dazzles the audience with is spectacle and glam.
