According to an equity casting notice posted today, a workshop for the revamped production, set to be directed by PIPPIN's Diane Paulus, is set for Manhattan in 2014, featuring new songs by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy. In its most competitive season ever, former top-ranking Project Runway contestants will return to New York to compete in the third season of Lifetime's Project Runway All Stars, premiering Thursday, October 24, at 9:00pm ET/PT.

Directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, with music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa, and a book by Grammy and BAFTA Award nominee John August, BIG FISH begins performances on Broadway tonight, Thursday, September 5, 2013 and will open Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). A limited number of student rush tickets will be available when the box office opens (10am Monday through Saturday) for that day's performance(s). As BroadwayWorld reported last week, FINDING NEVERLAND is now aiming for a Spring 2014 run at A.R.T. in Boston before heading back to the West End, and on to Broadway. PIPPIN's Diane Paulus -- who is the Artistic Director of the A.R.T. -- is directing the production. Now, according to the New York Times, Broadway producer Barry Weissler will executive produce the project. Weissler recently worked with the A.R.T. and Paulus on the recent Tony-winning revival of Pippin.

In anticipation of the new NBC hit comedy sitcom based on the hit off-Broadway play Assistance, Black Lab Theatre opens its doors on September 19, 2013, with the regional premiere of the original work -- a hilarious single act play that revolves around entry level, 20-somethings frantically trying to please their hellacious boss as calls and drama ring in. The play's TV adaptation (to star Krysten Ritter and Alfred Molina) hits the TV's on NBC later this season with Will Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Productions producing and play's author Leslye Headland signed on as chief writer. Headland herself began her career as the assistant to legendary Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and captures the angst of a new generation trying to hit the financial big time, one post-it at a time. This 'The Office' meets 'The Devil Wears Prada' Off-Broadway comedy about ambition-driven Generation-Y staffers will run at Wildfish Theater in the Galleria Area September 19 through Oct 5 at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays plus a Monday Industry Night on Sept 30.

The Daily Mail reports that a year after the first incarnation of FINDING NEVERLAND closed in the West End, the musical has undergone a transformation for the better -- with the help of a little pixie dust and a lot of new songs, new talent and streamlined plot. The musical is now aiming for a Spring 2014 run at A.R.T. in Boston before heading back to the West End and on to Broadway.
