The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), in association with the National New Play Network and the National Center for New Plays at Stanford University, will host the fourth annual MFA Playwrights' Workshop, July 25 to August 2, 2009. Eight playwrights have been invited, selected from 57 Master of Fine Art graduate students nominated by the heads of playwriting programs across the nation.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces four invited productions and the Short Play Festival as part of the 41st annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), April 14-18, 2009. Selected participants from eight regional festivals held in January and February at colleges and universities across the country are invited to showcase their talents at the nation's center for the performing arts, to be considered for scholarships and awards and to participate in master classes with some of the best artists in their field.

Hollywood…Baum/Lebenzon Productions presents a world premiere comedy, SHOCK THERAPY, written by Tom Baum ('The Manhattan Project,' 'Carny'), produced by Diantha Lebenzon and directed by Jenny O'Hara. SHOCK THERAPY will preview on Saturday, November 1 at 8pm; Sunday, November 2 at 7pm; Thursday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 7 at 8p.m. and will open on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00 pm and is scheduled to run for six weeks through Saturday, December 14th, 2008 at The Lillian Theatre, 1076 Lillian Way in Hollywood.

'Little Egypt' Begins NYMF Performances 9/27 thru 10/5

The New York Musical Theatre Festival, in association with HJS Productions, will present the New York premiere of Little Egypt, a new musical with book by Lynn Siefert, with music and lyrics by Gregg Lee Henry, directed by Lisa James, as part of the 4th Annual NY Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Performances will run September 27 through October 5 only.
