Celebrate National Women's History Month and the first annual March is Cabaret Month in New York City with Broadway and cabaret stars at Joe's Pub at The Public. Justin Vivian Bond will premiere Mx America for six nights, Tony Award Winner Tonya Pinkins and downtown legend Joey Arias will return for encore performances, veteran UK cabaret star Barb Jungr will cross the pond for a rare US appearance, Our Hit Parade favorite Erin Markey makes her solo debut and much more. Sunnyside Films and Windrider Entertainment present the brand new web series '80/20' co-created, written and starring Vayu O'Donnell (Golden Boy, Man and Boy) and Christopher Oscar Peña with music by Evan Olson, whose music has been featured on 'Sex And The City,' 'Law & Order,' 'Ugly Betty,' 'Friday Night Lights' and MTV's 'The Hills.' Excitement is building for Kansas City Rep's presentation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel, directed by Kyle Hatley, the theatre's associate artistic director. This is the musical theatre event that sparked delight in hearts of audience members and critics alike when it was first presented in 2011 by The Living Room (TLR), one of Kansas City's most imaginative small theatre companies. The Rep is now bringing TLR's beautifully re-envisioned Carouselto Spencer Theatre for a second production.

Robert O'Hara Will Direct Katori Hall's THE MOUNTAINTOP at Arena Stage

Katori Hall's Olivier Award-winning drama The Mountaintop comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater following an acclaimed run at the Alley Theatre in Houston, where it was hailed by the Houston Chronicle as "fast and funny, profoundly poignant, remarkably real and shimmeringly surreal." Obie Award winner Robert O'Hara (Public Theater's Wild with Happy) makes his Arena Stage directorial debut with The Mountaintop, which is produced in association with the Alley Theatre and runs March 29-May 12, 2013 in the Kreeger Theater.

Dallas Theater Center to Present THE ODD COUPLE, 3/15-4/14

Dallas Theater Center announced today the upcoming production of Neil Simon's classic American comedy, The Odd Couple, directed by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. When two men with struggling relationships, neat and particular Felix Ungar and disheveled and rough-edged Oscar Madison, decide to live together, the results are funny and poignant. The Odd Couple opens with previews on Friday, March 15 and runs through Sunday, April 14 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

(New York Times) is among the questions of William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, at Goodman Theatre in a new production directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Falls sets his production of Shakespeare's dark comedy against the backdrop of New York City circa 1970s-an era in which economic challenges, urban flight and the sexual revolution transformed one of the greatest cities in the world into one of the most troubled.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Opens GNIT, 3/17

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the world premiere of Gnit by Will Eno, directed by Artistic Director Les Waters. The play will run in the Pamela Brown Auditorium and will begin previews on March 15, open March 17 and run through April 7. Tickets are on sale now to the public and can be purchased at the Actors Theatre Box Office by calling 502-584-1205 or online at ActorsTheatre.org. The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays is made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation. Gnit is presented as part of the Brown Forman Series, by special arrangement with Signature Theatre and was developed at The Pershing Square Signature Center, with thanks to the J.A.W. Festival, Portland Center Stage. Director is underwritten by Todd P. Lowe and Fran C. Ratterman; Bruce Merrick and Karen McCoy.
