This weekend, BroadwayWorld was saddened to report the passing of beloved Broadway veteran Harvey Evans, who passed away at 80 years old. We're rounding up some of Evans' interviews and performances over the span of his extensive career.

Dancers Over 40 continues to bring together the artistic community with the 12th Annual Legacy Awards Monday, December 14th, 8pm.

Dancers Over 40's last event of 2015, the 7th Annual Legacy Awards presentation, was its most joyous. This holiday celebration and awards event was held last night, December 7th, at LIPS Restaurant, 227 East 56th Street. This year's event was hosted by Richard Skipper, with live entertainment by cabaret legend Barbara Minkus and Dames at Sea star Danny Gardner along with other surprise guests. Dancers Over 40, the organization "dedicated to preserving the History, Legacy and Lives of our creative community, while sharing the knowledge with the younger generation just beginning their careers" will present a tribute to the great George Balanchine, and the incredibly talented group of performers who worked with the master during his tenure at New York City Ballet. The event will take place tonight, October 8th at 8 p.m. at St. Luke's Theater (308 West 46th Street).

The 19th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition announced a total of $3,927,000 had been raised by the over 64 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This year, BC/EFA once again broke their own records, raising over $3.9 million dollars for this most-worthy cause.

BC/EFA presents the 19th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition on December 17 & 18 at the New Amsterdam Theatre; hosted this year by Jackie Hoffman, Mary Testa & Bob Saget. BC/EFA will create a special opening number in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the original Broadway production of West Side Story.
