The first time I saw John Cullum live on stage his fingers were clutched to a window frame of designer Robin Wagner's art deco luxury liner, playing the maniacally flamboyant theatre producer Oscar Jaffe attempting to board a moving train in his Tony-winning turn in ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.

Vineyard Theatre, Goodspeed Musicals, and Irish Repertory Theatre in association with Jeff Berger, have announced John Cullum: An Accidental Star, which will premiere April 8 and will be available for streaming on demand through April 22. Two live watch party events will take place April 8 at 7:00 pm EDT and April 17 at 2:00 pm EDT.

Established at the bequest of Mark Ryder's family in honor of his life's work, this program recognizes individual creative expression by providing financial assistance to choreographers to create new original work.  A fund has been established at the Columbia Foundation to enable monies to be awarded for this purpose in perpetuity. The grant award recipients will be announced at HCAC's Annual Meeting and Grant Awards Ceremony in September 2019.  The minimum grant amount will be $500.

Knoxville native and University of Tennessee alumnus, John Cullum, will be awarded the CBT Artistic Excellence Award at the Clarence Brown Theatre's annual Gala to be held June 7, 2015 from 6:30 - 10:00 pm at RT Lodge, 1406 Wilkinson Pike in Maryville, TN.
