THE COOLS Party Offline on Cyber Monday with Raekwon

The Cools, a social shopping site known for its offline Jamboree events, will hold a Cyber Monday Jamboree on November 26 at the Dream Downtown in New York City. The event will serve to debut 26 exclusive holiday collaboration products which will be available on the site over the coming weeks leading up to the holiday season. The 26 product installations will be celebrated with a concert by American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon.

Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces updated information about its 2013 season. August Wilson's Two Trains Running and Noel Coward's Present Laughter will switch positions in the previously announced lineup; there are no other changes to the run dates, including opening nights.

The Beach Boys 'Greatest Hits' Album Released Today, 10/9

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, The Beach Boys have performed more than 50 concerts since April and had their highest-ever debut on Billboard's albums chart in June with their critically acclaimed new studio release, That's Why God Made The Radio. The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary Tour recently concluded its North American run and is now underway in Europe, and the legendary band is pleased to announce plans for the CD and digital release of two new commemorative hits collections by Capitol/EMI today, October 9th in North America. 12 remastered Beach Boys studio albums were also released by Capitol/EMI on September 24th outside of North America and on September 25th in North America.

The Boulder-based barefoot running shoe start-up, Feel The World, Inc., the makers of Xero Shoes • Original Barefootware have welcomed Dennis Driscoll to their company. Driscoll is a 35-year footwear industry veteran who co-founded Avia Footwear and most recently worked as Global Design Director for Crocs.

EMI Classics has announced the U.S. release of The John Wilson Orchestra's That's Entertainment: A Celebration of the MGM Film Musical. World renowned conductor and arranger John Wilson leads an all-star cast of singers and his Grammy Award-nominated eponymous orchestra, comprised of some of the UK's finest musicians, on this dazzling recording of some of the greatest songs from Hollywood's Golden Age. Most of the scores have been lovingly and painstakingly reconstructed by Wilson, as MGM destroyed the originals in 1969.

New York Live Arts’ Ford Foundation Live Gallery Announces 'CROWD (for Bill T. Jones)' Exhibition

New York Live Arts' Ford Foundation Live Gallery is currently featuring CROWD (for Bill T. Jones), a commissioned, site-specific work by artist Donald Baechler. Before Live Arts visitors enter the theater and third floor studio space, they will encounter Baechler's monumental mural. A large-scale paper collage constructed directly on the wall, the work is on view now through January 2013. Members of the press are invited to the view the work at an opening reception on Tuesday, September 18th, 6:30 - 7:30PM. New York Live Arts' 2012-13 presenting season opens the same night, starting at 7:30pm, with Voices of Strength: Dance and Theater by Women from Africa.

Court Theatre Offers Free JITNEY Performance for Students During CPS Teachers' Strike, 9/13

In response to the CPS teachers' strike, Court Theatre is offering a special free performance of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson, for any CPS student (and one parent/guardian) with a valid CPS ID. This free matinee will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 10:30am at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. There is no need to RSVP, simply present a valid CPS ID at the theatre.

World renowned conductor and arranger John Wilson leads an all-star cast of singers and his Grammy® Award-nominated eponymous orchestra, comprised of some of the UK's finest musicians, on this dazzling recording of some of the greatest songs from Hollywood's Golden Age. Most of the scores have been lovingly and painstakingly reconstructed by Wilson, as MGM destroyed the originals in 1969. This is the first time the songs, including "Singin' in the Rain", "Steppin' Out with My Baby", "The Trolley Song", and title track "That's Entertainment", have been recorded in their intended orchestration since the films' original soundtrack recordings. That's Entertainment, also features a world-class cast of singers including Kim Criswell, Matthew Ford, Sarah Fox, Seth MacFarlane (the creator of Family Guy) and Curtis Stigers. The Standard Edition CD, a Deluxe Edition and a DVD of the 2009 BBC Proms, which launched John Wilson to fame in his native UK, is currently featured as part of a major national PBS pledge drive in August and September, will be available through all stores and online retailers on September 25th, 2012.

Paley Center and New York Comedy Festival Team Up for THE NEXT BIG THING, Beginning 11/7

The Paley Center for Media will partner with the New York Comedy Festival, which is presented in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, to present a special comedy-themed edition of Next Big Thing, the Paley Center's quarterly showcase for digital-media startups. Set for Wednesday, November 7, the event will feature demos and presentations from five comedy-related startup companies. The event will include participation from Dick Glover, CEO, Funny Or Die and Paul Greenberg, CEO, CollegeHumor.com.

David Leonard Joins Cast of MATILDA from Today, July 3; Annette McLaughlin to Join Aug 21

David Leonard will take over the role of Miss Trunchbull from today, 3 July 2012 and Annette McLaughlin will join the company as Mrs Wormwood from Tuesday 21 August 2012. They will play alongside Haley Flaherty and Steve Furst who have recently joined the Company as Miss Honey and Mr Wormwood. Bertie Carvel's last performance as Miss Trunchbull took place on Sunday 1 July and Josie Walker will perform as Mrs Wormwood for the last time on Sunday 19 August.
