La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for His Girl Friday, adapted by John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation, House of Blue Leaves) from the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur play The Front Page and the Columbia Pictures film His Girl Friday. Directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis), the production will kick off the 2013/2014 season, running May 28 - June 30 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

Britman Theatre Company to Present I AM MY OWN WIFE, 5/23-26

For the first in New York time since its Tony Award-winning Broadway production in 2003, I Am My Own Wife by Doug Wright will be performed at The Studio Theatre on Theatre Row for four performances from May 23-26, 2013. Jen Forcino directs Scott Voloshin in a solo performance, portraying 30 distinct characters in this Pulitzer Prize-winning drama. The Studio Theatre on Theatre Row is located at 410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036.

HANDS ON A HARDBODY Gets Original Broadway Recording with Ghostlight Records; Set for June 2013 Release!

Ghostlight Records has announced plans to preserve HANDS ON A HARDBODY with an Original Broadway Cast Recording. The album will be recorded next month and released in June 2013. The show will play its final Broadway performance tonight, April 13, 2013 at 8pm after playing 28 preview and 28 regular performances at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). HANDS ON A HARDBODY began previews on Saturday, February 23, 2013 and officially opened on Thursday, March 21, 2013.

SONTAG: REBORN to Play NYTW, Beginning 5/28

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Sontag: Reborn, based on the books by Susan Sontag and edited by David Rieff, adapted and performed by Moe Angelos, directed by Marianne Weems, and produced in collaboration with The Builders Association, will begin performances Tuesday, May 28 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, June 6 at 7pm. Sontag: Reborn is scheduled to run through Sunday, June 30.
