For the week of December 24, 2012, 'ABC World News with Diane Sawyer' averaged 8.27 million Total Viewers and a 1.8 rating/6 share/2.11 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. 'World News' grew both its overall (+4%, 7.94 million on w/o 12/17/12) and demo (+1%, 2.08 million on w/o 12/17/12) audiences compared to the previous week. In addition, the ABC newscast grew its overall audience year to year (+4%, 7.96 million on w/o 12/26/11).

The National Retail Federation estimates Americans will spend more than $586 billion this year on holiday gifts and goodies - that's $750 per shopper. Economists tell "World News" that if we all spent just $64 more on gifts with a "Made in America" label, we could create 200,000 new American jobs.

With less than 24-hours until Americans head to the polls to make their voices heard with their vote, ABC News will broadcast a special one-hour edition of "World News with Diane Sawyer" on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5.
