The rally will be held at Central Park's Delacorte Theater (enter at 81st Street and Central Park West or 79th Street and Fifth Avenue) on Friday, August 28 from 2:30-3:30 PM and will be open to the public. Noteworthy members of both the civil rights and theater communities will be on hand to speak, including Oskar Eustis, legendary gay rights activist Cleve Jones, HAIR star Gavin Creel and producer David Stone.

HAIR To Cancel 10/11 Performance And Join The National Equality March in Washington, D.C.

In an unprecedented move, the producers of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced they are canceling the show's Sunday, October 11th performance so that the entire cast can join the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. The announcement was made this evening by the cast of HAIR at a spirited rally in Los Angeles (the entire company of HAIR has traveled from New York to California to appear on tonight's broadcast of 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien').

New York's Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director; Brittany O'Neill, Managing Director) has announced a series of talkbacks to follow performances of Geoffrey Nauffts' new play, Next Fall, directed by Sheryl Kaller. Next Fall began performances on May 26th at The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street) and has been extended to July 5th.
