Lea DeLaria will be presenting two nights of comedy and song at the Manor Epic Showroom Friday, July 30th and July 31st at 7:30 p.m. for the benefit of Rising Action Theatre. This is the first partnership between Rising Action Theatre and The Manor Complex. 'We anticipate this will be a great success, and we plan to do more of these events in the future,' says David Goldyn, Rising Action's Producing Artistic Director. Sponsors of the event are Hot Spots Magazine, Mark Magazine, and the South Florida Gay News.

ELEVATOR will open on Thursday, July 29 and perform through Sunday, August 22 at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

Pawnshop, a new play by Atlanta playwright Tiffany Parks, will be given a staged reading in Nashville Monday night, June 21, by The African American Playwrights Exchange. The reading will be held upstairs at Bongo Java, 2007 Belmont Boulevard. Pawnshop focuses on relations between members of Atlanta's African-American and Jewish communities in the 1950s and is the winner of the AAPEX Best New Play 2010 award.
