Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are proud to announce "Makin' It Motown," a nationwide open call casting search for African-American singers for both the Broadway production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL and the upcoming national tour, with a rare opportunity to audition for this hit Broadway musical at the 14th Street Playhouse (173 14th Street NE, Stage Three) in Atlanta, GA, on Sunday, November 10, in partnership with Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta.

Stonewall Street) in Charlotte, NC, on Saturday, November 9. The first national tour will launch in Chicago in April 2014 with Charlotte performance dates to be announced at a later date.

San Francisco Ballet, the oldest professional ballet company in America, has announced that it will perform at New York's Lincoln Center at the David H. Koch Theater, tonight, October 16-27, 2013.

The New York premiere of Wheeldon's full-length production of Cinderella will be performed Wednesday, October 23 at 8 pm; Thursday, October 24 at 8 pm; Friday, October 25 at 8 pm; Saturday, October 26 at 2 pm and 8 pm; and Sunday, October 27 at 2 pm. The acclaimed work, a co-production with Dutch National Ballet, was first performed in December 2012 by the Dutch company, and the U.S. premiere was presented by SF Ballet in May 2013.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL hosted First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia at the matinee performance on Sunday, August 25, 2013. The Obama family was joined by poet Elizabeth Alexander (who composed and delivered "Praise Song for the Day" for the first inauguration of President Obama), and the party was greeted by a standing ovation upon recognition by the audience inside the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

San Francisco Ballet, the oldest professional ballet company in America, has announced that it will perform at New York's Lincoln Center at the David H. Koch Theater, October 16-27, 2013. From October 16-20, the Company will present a variety of mixed-bill programs with works by Edwaard Liang, Serge Lifar, Wayne McGregor, Mark Morris, Alexei Ratmansky, SF Ballet Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson, Yuri Possokhov, and Christopher Wheeldon. From October 23-27, SF Ballet presents the New York premiere of Wheeldon's lavish new full-length ballet Cinderella. Music legend Smokey Robinson stopped by CBS's THE TALK yesterday and spoke about the early days of his career with Motown founder Berry Gordy. The singer also gushed about MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, currently breaking box office records on Broadway.
