The Encore’s highly anticipated production of MAMMA MIA! sails onto The Maas stage this month. Arriving on “the Island,” are performers from New York, Chicago, the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, as well as extraordinary local talent and Encore favorites.

Billy Joel turns 73 this week and The Encore is celebrating in a big way. One of the best-selling artists of all time, with over 160 million records sold worldwide, Billy Joel has had a successful career as a solo artist since the 1970s. With memorable hits like New York State of Mind, Just the Way You Are, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant and more, The Encore will once again take audiences back in time with their popular tribute concert series.

The Encore Musical Theatre Company kicks off 2022 with another exciting live music event, The Eagles Tribute Concert.  As with their sell-out Queen Tribute last fall, The Encore promises to Take It to the Limit once again with an evening of classic hits, smooth harmonies and a rockin’ band led by music director, BRIAN ROSE. 

Modern Jazz Meets Musical Theatre runs for two performances only, Feb. 18th and 19th at 7:30pm, at The Encore Musical Theatre Company. The Encore Musical Theatre Company has just announced that Jason Briggs has joined their staff in the role of Managing Director. Briggs comes to The Encore with both a BA in Theatre Performance, and a master’s degree in Marketing and Innovative Management from The University of Michigan-Flint.

The Encore Musical Theatre kicks off a new season of mainstage musicals with the Broadway hit SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ. The longest-running revue in Broadway history, the show features a Grammy-winning score by hitmakers, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. You'll be dancing in your seat to such instantly recognizable tunes as On Broadway, Fools Fall in Love, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Love Potion #9 and so many more.

At 91 years-old and with credits that range from “West Side Story” and “Gypsy” to “Sweeney Todd” and “Into The Woods” just to name a few, Stephen Sondheim remains one of Broadway's most pivotal voices.
