Fred Sullivan, Jr. & Joel Kipper Set for OSTC's ROUNDING THIRD

Trinity Repertory Company's Fred Sullivan, Jr., who is enjoying rave reviews in Trinity Rep's current production of A Flea in Her Ear, and Ocean State Theatre Company's Managing Producer, Joel Kipper, who recently made his directing debut with OSTC's The Last Five Years, will be starring opposite one another in OSTC's upcoming summer production of Richard Dresser's comedy Rounding Third.

What ever happened to Abigail Williams? Combining a provocative parable of sin and redemption with a good, old-fashioned ghost story, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Carrie, Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark, Fox's Glee) explores what might have come next for the real-life Puritan villainess at the center of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. ICT artistic director caryn desai [sic] directs the West Coast premiere of Abigail/1702, opening May 1 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for April 29 and 30.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Women's Project Theater present the world premiere of The Undeniable Sound of Right Now, written by Laura Eason (S e x with Strangers,'House of Cards') and directed by Kirsten Kelly (Slipping), beginning tonight, March 19 at 7pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 2 at 7pm. The production is set to run through Saturday, May 2.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff will join the cast of HAMILTON as 'King George' on Tuesday, March 3. Groff, who performed in The Public's recent revival of Hair as well as The Bacchae and The Singing Forest, is replacing Brian d'Arcy James, who will be starring in Something Rotten on Broadway this spring. The world premiere musical HAMILTON, inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail, has been extended three times at The Public due to sold-out demand and will close as scheduled on Sunday, May 3 prior to a Broadway transfer to the Richard Rodgers Theatre beginning July 13 and opening August 6.

Theatre Hall of Fame honoree and legendary Broadway star Betty Buckley will be offering a two month Spring Intensive Song Interpretation Workshop at The Modern Art Mu- seum of Fort Worth beginning April 15. The training will focus on preparations for Story Songs V, a concert to be presented in June, starring participants in the workshop.
