Dallas Theater Center will conclude its four-year Shakespeare cycle with one of the playwright's greatest tragedies King Lear, a co-production with Trinity Repertory Company and directed by DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty. King Lear opens for previews on Friday, January 18 and runs through Sunday, February 18.

Opening in previews tonight, November 29 and running through December 30 at Trinity Rep, this powerful and intimate production features two brilliant characters - one in her fifties, one her twenties - each with her own take on the controversial debate surrounding the theory of female evolution. In this funny, gripping new play, a mentor and her protege bond and spar over the personal and professional consequences of their own diametrically opposed theories. Trinity Rep Sets Red White & Blues Benefit for 1/12

Trinity Rep has announced the return of last winter's premiere event- Red White & Blues, a casual evening featuring food, wine, and dancing to the music of local band The Silks. Co-chaired by Gil MacLean and his wife Michelle Collie, sponsored by MacLean's store, Bottles Fine Wine, the benefit party will take place on Saturday January 12 from 7PM to midnight at the Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire St., Providence. Tickets are $60 in advance, $70 after December 24 and are available now online at www.trinityrep.com, by phone at 401-351-4242, in person at the Trinity Rep Box Office at 201 Washington St. A $100 VIP ticket is also available, which includes parking for the event and entrance into an exclusive champagne tasting once inside.
