Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo will present the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts to local business woman and philanthropist Elizabeth Z. Chace. Emmy Award winning actor Richard Jenkins and Sharon Jenkins, 2013 Pell Award Lifetime Achievement recipients, will present the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts to The Public Theater's Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Laurie Eustis. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 150 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 48th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 12-16, 2016 in multiple locations throughout the Center. Thousands of student artists from eight regions across the country presented their work at regional festivals from January 5 through February 27, 2016 and more than 150 were selected to travel to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., for an all-expenses-paid trip to participate in the national festival. At the 20th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Repertory Company will award Oskar Eustis and Laurie Eustis with the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. Oskar currently serves as the artistic director of The Public Theater. Elizabeth Z. Chace, local businesswoman and philanthropist will be honored with the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. Nominations are now being accepted for additional local honorees. Trinity Repertory Company announces dates for the third annual sensory-friendly performance, as well as American Sign Language interpretation and Open Caption performances of A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens and with original music by Richard Cumming. An Open Captioned performance will be offered on Sunday, November 8 at 2:00PM.
