SF Sketchfest will celebrate the 11th annual San Francisco Comedy Festival by honoring Eddie Izzard and the Upright Citizens Brigade with in-person tributes and by welcoming Drew Carey, Jennifer Coolidge, David Cross, Rachel Dratch, Chris Elliott, Florence Henderson, Elliott Gould, John Hodgman, Sally Kellerman, Marc Maron, Bruce McCulloch, Christopher Meloni, Laraine Newman, Bob Odenkirk, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Kevin Smith, Reggie Watts, Fred Willard, The Groundlings, the geeks behind w00tstock, the creators of Wet Hot American Summer and many more to fifteen venues over seventeen nights in San Francisco. SF Sketchfest, the most prestigious comedy festival on the west coast, runs January 19 through February 4, 2012. Tickets range from $10 to $75. According to EWonline, actor Christopher Meloni is set to become a series regular in HBO's Season 5 of its hit drama, 'True Blood'. According to the report, the actor will take on the role of an "ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands."

Off-Broadway's LAByrith Theater Company is getting ready for its annual benefit 'Celebrity Charades 2010: Fight Night' which will take place Dec. 6 at St. Paul's Hall. They have released a special training video featuring Bob Balaban, Eric Bogosian, Josh Charles, Rachel Dratch, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Justin Long, Sam Rockwell, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Kristen Wiig and David Zayas.

Last night, November 15, Montblanc presented the 10th annual THE 24 HOUR PLAYS ON BROADWAY at The American Airlines Theatre. The one night only performance benefits Urban Arts Partnership, an organization that brings arts education into New York City classrooms. Participating in the event was Leslie Bibb (Iron Man), Guillermo Diaz (Weeds), Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live), America Ferrera (Emmy Award winner for Ugly Betty), Gaby Hoffman (Life During Wartime), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker), Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU), Diane Neal (Law and Order: SVU), Rosie Perez (Artistic Board Chair of Urban Arts Partnership), Kyra Sedgwick (Emmy Award winner for The Closer), Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Show), Fisher Stevens (Oscar Winning producer of The Cove ), Julia Stiles (Oleanna), Tracie Thoms, Lynn Nottage and others.

Hosted by Sir Ian McKellen, last night, November 1, the Only Make Believe Gala featured a number of performances including the casts of Memphis, the Cast of Billy Elliot: The Musical, and others.
