D23 spoke with star of La Jolla Playhouse's upcoming produciton of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, Patrick Page, about why he was drawn to the project and the role of 'Frollo' and what to expect from the premiere. Scroll down for some excerpts from the interview!

The West Coast premiere of the film adaptation LUCKY STIFF will take place at the Hollywood Film Festival on October 17 at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome. The film, based on an off-Broadway show from Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty ('Ragtime'), stars Jason Alexander ('Seinfeld'), British stage actor Dominic Marsh, Tony winner Nikki M. James ('Book of Mormon,' 'Les Miserables'), Pamela Shaw (recreating the character she portrayed on the stage) and the late Dennis Farina ('Get Shorty', 'Saving Private Ryan').

Rehearsals have now begun for the West End production of hit Broadway musical MEMPHIS, which will have preview performances at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London from 9 October 2014 with Opening Night on 23 October 2014. Winner of four 2010 Tony Awards® including Best Musical, MEMPHIS has a Grammy® Award-winning original score by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan and book by Joe DiPietro.

Several Tony Award-winners teamed up to bring an adaptation of the 1988 musical LUCKY STIFF to the big screen. Starring Jason Alexander, the late Dennis Farina, Dominic Marsh, Nikki M. James, Don Amendolia, Pamela Shaw and Kate Shindle, the movie will compete in the 'Feature Film' competition of this year's Montreal World Film Festival. La Jolla Playhouse announces a new production for its 2014/2015 season: The Darrell Hammond Project, written by Saturday Night Live star Darrell Hammond and Elizabeth Stein and directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley. Oscar-winning FROZEN songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are in development on their next project -- a musical titled UP HERE, with ROCKY's Alex Timbers on board to direct. The production is scheduled to make its World Premiere at La Jolla Playhouse in California during the theater's 2015-16 season, though no exact dates have been set.
