The Public Theater announced additional casting today for the 2015 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, beginning Wednesday, May 27 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. This summer will feature Shakespeare's late romances with THE TEMPEST, directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, and CYMBELINE, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. Jesse Tyler Ferguson will return to the Park this summer as Trinculo in THE TEMPEST, along with Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe teaming up again with Daniel Sullivan on CYMBELINE to play Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Imogen, respectively.

Second Stage Theatre's 35th Anniversary Gala celebration just honored Carole Rothman, Artistic Director of Second StageTheatre, for her 35 years of supporting new works and artistic development in New York City theatre. This year's rock n' roll themed gala was attended by over 250 Second Stage Alumni who have worked at Second Stage Theatre during the past 35 years, from Brooke Adams and Polly Draper who appeared in the very first season, to cast members from the currently running The Substance of Fire and the upcoming American Hero which will make its New York premiere this summer at Second Stage Uptown. A Collection of Shiny Objects presents the premiere of 'queerSpawn' by Mallery Avidon, a play about a kid being bullied because of having lesbian mothers.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) kicks off the 2013 Uptown Series with the world premiere of The Tutors, written by Erica Lipez and directed by Thomas Kail. The Tutors will feature Louis Ozawa Changchien ( Second Stage's Warrior Class), Matt Dellapina (The Dream Of The Burning Boy), Aubrey Dollar ('Guiding Light'), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi) and Chris Perfetti (Picnic). Previews begin on May 22nd and opening night is Wednesday, June 5th.

A Collection of Shiny Objects will present the world premiere of queerSpawn. This new play by Mallery Avidon will be directed by Jesse Geiger, starring Obie Award winner David Greenspan. Previews begin May 10 at HERE with opening slated for May 14.

Performances begin tonight for Roundabout Theatre Company's second annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series. The actors involved in the series include: Penn Badgley, David Wilson Barnes, Noah Bean, Reg E. Cathey, Tracee Chimo , Liza Colon-Zayas, Patch Darragh, Erin Gann, Jordan Gelber, Kelli Giddish, Andre Holland, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Ezra Knight, Austin Lysy, Madeleine Martin, Chris Perfetti, Lorenzo Pisoni, Phillipa Soo, Stephen Stout, Andrea Syglowski, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Nitya Vindyasagar, Allison Williams.

Chris Perfetti's stage credits include Roundabout's off-Broadway production of Sons of the Prophet. Regionally, he has performed at the GEVA Theatre Center and the Hangar Theatre. The talented, young actor recently spoke with BWW about his Broadway debut experience which he calls, 'nothing short of an extreme pleasure.'
