Steppenwolf Theatre Company closes the 2011/12 season with Three Sisters, Anton Chekhov's humorous and affecting tale of longing for a better life, adapted by Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning ensemble member Tracy Letts, directed by Tony Award-winning ensemble member Anna D. Shapiro. Letts and Shapiro continue their celebrated collaboration following their acclaimed world-premiere production of August: Osage County (2007), bringing fresh insight to this classic story of a privileged family's changing fortunes. The Jeff Awards have announced 105 nominations in 24 categories for Non-Equity Jeff Awards, which honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract, for productions that opened between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010. The Jeff Awards judged the opening nights of 116 productions offered by 55 non-Equity producing organizations and recommended 51 shows for further judging, making those 51 eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations in all categories.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults continues its 2009-2010 season with John Knowles' A Separate Peace, adapted by Nancy Gilsenan and directed by Jonathan Berry. The production, featuring ensemble member Alan Wilder with Will Allan, Chance Bone, Jake Cohen, Curtis M. Jackson, Damir Konjicija and Govind Kumar, runs February 23 - March 19, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. Weekday matinees (Tuesdays - Fridays) are reserved for school groups, with Saturday and Sunday performances available to the public.
