Disney's THE LION KING Performs On ABC's 'Dancing With The Stars' 9/23

On the first 'Dancing with the Stars the Results Show' of Season 9, the cast of Disney's Tony Award-winning The Lion King will perform the spectacular 'Circle of Life,' the Oscar-nominated song that opens the show, in a stunning parade of costumes, animal puppetry and the most performers to ever take to the 'Dancing with the Stars' stage, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The appearance coincides with The Lion King recently passing the 50 million mark in worldwide attendance.

Due to the popularity of last week's post-show Talk Back with the cast and creators of Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR, the producers have announced that they will extend the event into a series through the end of September.

The producers of BURN THE FLOOR, announced today that that the show will extend through January 3, 2010. The Latin and ballroom spectacular had originally announced a limited 12-week run. The first new show of the Broadway season, BURN THE FLOOR broke the box office record at the Longacre Theatre two weeks running. Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev of Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance' joined the company on August 18.

BURN THE FLOOR sizzles away at the Longacre Theatre on West 48th Street and the heat is now engulfing the street. Its across-the-street neighbor is spreading the word too; The Walter Kerr Theatre marquee is now lit up with signs pointing the way to BURN THE FLOOR, marking the first time a Broadway theatre has advertised the show of a neighboring house.

BURN THE FLOOR beat the Longacre Theatre house record for the second week in a row, with a gross of $665.008.50, besting last week's gross of $540,180. Last week's gross had broken the previous record held by Boeing-Boeing .
