Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (the LBC) announced the addition of five new shows and events to its 2017 lineup. On Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m., In the Mood, a fully staged tribute to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Sinatra and the big band greats of the '40s, returns to the LBC with 19 performers on stage, including six singer-dancers. The Grammy-winning duo Indigo Girls bring their signature sonic blend of folk and rock to Santa Rosa on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8 p.m. for an outstanding program of fan favorites from across their groundbreaking career.

GABRIELLE STRAVELLI - the celebrated pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter called an 'outstanding singer' by The Wall Street Journal and 'hotter than the equator' by The Village Voice - will return with her concert celebrating the legendary songwriters Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael at Kitano Jazz (66 Park Avenue at 38th Street) on Saturday, January 7 with sets at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

The company of Hamilton took top honors for best onstage presentation. In 'America,' the cast mashed up the music and lyrics of Bob Marley and Lin-Manuel Miranda and the poetry of Langston Hughes into a call for peace and equality in our country. Javier Muñoz and Syndee Winters led the integration of song and word, with the cast channeling the duo's sentiments into a powerful, striking dance.
