Sweet Charity - the first production at Hayes Theatre Co - starts this week, with limited tickets available for the season's performances. Three world premieres by Maurice Causey, Charles Moulton and Artistic Director Charles Anderson headline the spring program of Company C Contemporary Ballet April 25-May 11 at ODC Theater in San Francisco and the Lesher Theater in Walnut Creek. The 12-year-old Company will close its 2014 season with a program featuring the world premiere of a new ballet by Maurice Causey (title to be announced), the world premiere of Charles Moulton's New Country and the world premiere of Charles Anderson's What's Behind Door #3 along with reprises of excerpts from Anderson'sAposiopesis and excerpts from Patrick Corbin's Partly Cloudy. On the heels of their one-year wedding anniversary, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) will join forces for the New York City debut of their first full-length cabaret act as a duo. 'Look Who's in Love' features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show is directed by Michael Bush.

This February and March at 54 BELOW presents an exciting lineup of the brightest talent from Broadway and beyond, including Christopher Sieber, Annaleigh Ashford, Randy Graff, Melinda Doolittle, Jeff Daniels, Linda Eder, Andrea McArdle, Sondheim Unplugged, Taboo: 10th Anniversary Reunion Concert, Beth Leavel, Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena.

Saladino Dance Productions' Rome Saladino and Marina Putane have assembled a superb eight-member ensemble to perform Singin' and Dancin' in the Rain, their tribute to Hollywood's legendary song and dance man, Gene Kelly. The show consistently received standing ovations when it played at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center and the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College.

Due to popular demand, the critically acclaimed, longest running American musical in Broadway history, Chicago has added a 2pm matinee to their March 5, 2014 date at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Both the Tuesday and Wednesday evening performances have nearly sold out, therefore adding the Wednesday afternoon matinee will allow another full house to enjoy the glitz and glam of the decadent 1920's and the tale of the murderous nightclub dancer, Roxie Hart. Winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording, Chicago continues to leave audiences singing 'All That Jazz!'

Today in 1966, Sweet Charity opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 608 performances. Featuring music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon, the musical was directed and choreographed for Broadway by Bob Fosse starring his wife and muse Gwen Verdon. It is based on Federico Fellini's screenplay for Nights of Cabiria. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1966, where it was nominated for 12 Tony Awards, and also ran in the West End as well as having revivals and international productions.

Kris Jenner, star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on E!, admitted on Sunday to friend Jonathan Cheban and her daughter Kim Kardashian that she loves the song 'All That Jazz' and has been taking singing and dancing lessons in hopes of starring on Broadway in Chicago. Check out the clip below!

Broadway Across America has announced the 2014/2015 Hippodrome Broadway Series. This upcoming season includes such Broadway blockbusters as PIPPIN, ONCE and NEWSIES. The series also features the hit productions of CHICAGO, DIRTY DANCING, ANNIE and I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE. In addition, WICKED will be flying back to Baltimore for a four week engagement. The 2014/2015 Season marks the 100 Year Anniversary of the historic Hippodrome Theatre. It promises to be a very exciting season.
